Do you have a firewall or other security Apps that may be blocking the access? If so, try turning them off before running the Firmware Update program.

Try the latest App version (9.6.9) and Firmware (3.22.6).

Note that the latest Firmware Update program is version 7.0.1 and it installs Firmware 3.22.6. With Firmware Update program 7.0.0+ you no longer need to install the program to get the latest firmware as the firmware files are now downloaded by the update program.

I have added this to the bug list for the next version. Thanks for pointing it out.

It may work on other devices but it's a hit and miss.

The latest Firmware Update program is version 7.0.1 and it installs Firmware 3.22.6. With Firmware Update program 7.0.0+ you no longer need to install the program to get the latest firmware as the firmware files are now downloaded by the update program.

First, make sure you have the latest Firmware Update program (7.0.1), then if the LEDs do not blink blue after updating the adapter, try the Repair option, then one more time with the Firmware. If the adapter still does not light up, you will need to send it in for Repair.

That is the only driver available. If you follow the Firmware Update instructions in the Getting Started document exactly and to the letter, the driver will install. If for some reason you're unable to install the driver you can always send the adapter in for a firmware update.

Firmware version 3.22.2 breaks 4.1 adapters. Firmware version 3.22.3 fixes that plus adds some other nice features when mated with App version 9.6.8.

The board shows the hardware version - 2.1 is the Bluetooth Classic, 3.1 is the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) version, and 4.1 is the new BLE board not yet in production. The 3.1 board can be upgraded to 4.1 by sending it in for the upgrade but it will still how 3.1 on the board.

Correct, App version 9.6.8 should fix the App hanging. You don't need Adapter Firmware version 3.22.3 but it does have some nice features.
