Color of device

I ordered  the data adapter and ut came in green. I have a 2014 Ciach with a xummings isl 9. Will it work. I read where I needed a black one. A black one was not shown as available when I ordered

The Green adapter will plug into a Black diagnostic port but not the other way around.
