Signal strength

Have poor signal strength on 2 different devices. My original ipad and a windows 11 computer.
my adaptor is located in front of the driver at the top of the dash under a removable panel. Both devisees will connect when about 6 to 8 inches away but to get anything above a poor to fair reading that is bouncing between the two I have to virtually lay the device on top of the adaptor with the panel removed. Then I get good to excellent. is this normal or can I correct it somehow.

Try rotating your tablets as that can also affect signal strength. See the Getting Started document for more info on signal strength.

If you have not already, I would recommend sending in your adapter for the 4.1 hardware upgrade as it improves signal strength.
