Calculated Fuel Resets

So I have driven on 3 short trips (150 miles each).  I am using the calculated fuel instead of what the gauge shows.  At the end of first trip it shows the amount of fuel used and the gauge reads correctly.  When starting the 2nd trip, the gauge reset back to FULL and calculated from full again.  I did NOT click the Fuel Fill option.  It did the same thing on the 3rd trip.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

I've been having this same issue for over a year, it is not consistent and I haven't been able to figure out any triggers for why/when this happens.  

Running on Samsung Tab10 with a J1929 adapter on 2005 Holiday Rambler with 330 Cummins ISC.
