It turns out that Dimmer works just fine when connected and the ignition is on.

Thanks, setting brightness to max works. If you don't want to put the screen into torch mode then leaving systems permission turned off works fine as well and the screen can be left at the desired brightness.

This is especially important for night driving. The easiest way to do this is when the BlueFire app prompts you to turn on system permission then turn it on, then off, and on/off a second time. No need to leave the system permissions screen while doing this. Just on/off twice back-to-back and then exit the permissions screen back to the BlueFire app and all is good.

Looking forward to V 10.2.1.

More info: I have found that the BlueFire app will set my brightness to zero for many various screen transitions such as going into Settings and leaving as well as when I exit the app. I reset the app to factory settings but this didn't help. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app without improvement. HOWEVER, I discovered that if I do NOT give the app permissions to change the system settings the dark screen bug goes away. I have to be tricky by turning the permission on and off and then backing out of the screen. Sometimes twice, if the BlueFire app insists, but the app does eventually let me leave the permission turned off. At that point the Dark Display issue stops!

I'm running Android Version 9 on my Samsung Tab 3. Everything works just fine until I leave the app. When I do, the screen is turned to minimum brightness.. It's quite hard to find the display brightness slider when it's turned to minimum. This happens if I only start the BlueFire app, connect, and then Exit. I know that V9 android app is long in tooth but it's the last version for my Tab 3 and I'd love to extend its life by dedicating it to the BlueFire app.
