Adapter Firmware

Update the Firmware on your Adapter. You can view all the Firmware changes on the BlueFire Forum.

Note, the Adapter is not Truck ELD compliant and the BlueFire App no longer supports the Federal Electronic Data Logging requirements.

You can either update the Adapter Firmware yourself with a Windows computer, or you can send the Adapter in to be updated.

To send in the Adapter for updating, order the update from this page or the 'Update the Adapter Firmware' button at the bottom of this page.

Sending your Adapter for the Firmware Update will also upgrade a 3.1 Adapter to the new 4.1 hardware. See here for the 4.1 upgrade changes.

Important, you only need to order a Firmware update if you're sending your Adapter to us for updating. 

Along with sending us your Adapter you also need to include a copy of this update order. 

Send your Adapter (and a copy of this order) to the address below and we will update the Firmware and ship the Adapter back to you according to your order shipping.

Very Important Note, upgrading to the new 4.1 hardware changes the App Setting 'Last Connected Adapter' so if you are using this option, after you receive your updated Adapter, you need to uncheck that setting, connect to the Adapter and then re-check the setting.

To update to the latest Firmware (not Hardware) yourself, download and install the Firmware Update Program (zip file). Update instructions will be shown after starting the program.

Note, when installing the Firmware Update Program, if you see the 'Windows protected your PC' alert, you need to click on 'More info' then the 'Run anyway' button.
