Trip Issue

Send the App’s event log (Settings/Send the Event Log) and I’ll take a look. Let me know when you have sent the event log too.

Try clearing Persistent Data (App Settings page). See the Getting Started document's Persistent Data section for more information.

Version 4.2

4.2.0 Updates: 3/1/2026

        •  Better memory management with substantially less risk of memory corruptions.
        •  A user factory reset cycle is now performed only after a power cycle.
        •  The Adapter will go to sleep right after the user factory reset cycle.
        •  When not connected, the Adapter will reboot every two hours.
        •  When the App disconnects from the Adapter, the Adapter will reboot. If the Adapter is set to sleep it will immediately go to sleep.
        •  When the Adapter reboots, the LEDs will blink cyan for 8 seconds if not sleeping, otherwise (sleeping) the LEDs will blink a dim cyan quickly.
        •  Power cycling is fine during a reboot but App connection will wait.
        •  Adapter firmware updates are now no cost with free USPS ground shipping.

4.2.1 Updates: 3/8/2026

        •  Fixed Adapter locking up when first plugged in (requires re-plugging in).
        •  Saving Device Name and MAC Address in case it cannot be retrieved.
        •  Reduced LED brightness in half for cyan, yellow, and magenta LEDs.
        •  Updated the Firmware Update program to version 12.2.0.

4.2.2 Updates: 3/10/2026

        •  Reduces the likelihood of raising a J1708 ECM J1587 fault (eg. "No J1587 DATA") when plugging in the Adapter.

4.2.3 Updates: 3/24/2026

        •  Fixed J1708 not setting the App's Key On (solid blue Led) when connecting with the ignition key on.

Adding Gauges

In order to add these yourself you would need the PGN, SPN position and length, the resolution and a way to convert the data. However if you know this information, you can use the Settings/System/Advanced Functions to query the data.

The data can get hardcoded into gauges when there is enough support for them.

Hello, I am way behind with updates. I believe I need to send in my adapter to get firmware update. It shows I did the application update to 12.3.0, but adapter has current firmware of 3.20.0 and hardware is currently 2.1. Should I send my adapter in or can I do the updates myself? Thanks for the help!

Yes, you need to send your adapter for an upgrade.

Have you taken a look at the Getting Started document's Fuel and DEF section? You may need to have the App calculate fuel level for you.
