Damage from using the adapter

I have Ben advised by from what is to me a knowledgeable source that using the adaptor can lead to ECM damage. Can anyone else comment on this. I am taking my next road trip in the last week of July and now I am concerned as a ECM for me is about 6K and the idea of being stranded somewhere isn’t appealing either. Thanks

We have sold thousands of adapters and so far no one has had an ECM damaged. You can query these forums to see if anyone has experienced this.
