It sounds like you didn't get the driver installed. You have to follow the instructions exactly and too the letter. This is not a normal driver install.

I've been following the Getting Started Guide Version 12.7.0..   The firmware updating section step 6 & 7( pg 18)  say "IF" the driver is not installed I'll be prompted to install it (see  instructions below.)   And, "IF" Windows starts to install a driver to stop it and manually install a driver, per instructions below.

I was neither prompted to install a driver nor did Windows start to install a driver.  The next step says to wait for the adapter to flash blue which it did. So, following these steps, I didn't think I needed to install a driver.

Is the Getting Started document the correct instructions or is there another document with Firmware update instructions?

I have a 9 pin adapter and the app indicates that it's a 4.1  I'm following the firmware updating instructions and, after many unsuccessful tries, I'm now wondering if a standard USB connection to my Windows 11 (Lenovo slim 5 idea pad) is causing the "Adapter is not in Device Manager. Check your USB connection" error.  I don't have a micro USB port on the Lenovo.
