I bought my adapter from another gentleman. I tried hooking it up to the RV and it says that this version cant use this version of the app. It also says its not registered. I downloaded the update program, installed drivers and the thing just blinks green lights, never blue. I have found no information on how to physically identify which hardware version I have. I work for a Peterbilt dealer and deal with J1939 all day everyday and I've never seen anything you had to ship to someone to have it updated. It has a cyble-022001-00 BT chipset on the top board. So its not a classic BT board. It connects to the laptop BT under Bluefire LE, but then when you run the program it says bluetooth unavailable. Is the update program looking for classic? Has anyone actually shipped the device back to the manufacturer and gotten it back working successfully? I'm just trying to run some extra gauges on my RV, didn't realize it was gonna be this big of a pain. I've tried other adapters like Nexiq and they wont hook to the app, and no other app will display gauges like this one "claims" to. First world problems I know, but in this day in age of technology...........this seems off.
