The data is coming from the ECM. Most likely the engine or ECM was changed out and not reprogrammed.

I don't think you can be so sure the motor engine has not been changed since you don't have enough reason to back it up. Since L6 is on the engine, I think that implies the engine is L6 and not L9. Take my travel trailer for example, the initials of it engine is HQ12 and the trailer is an HQ12 travel trailer.
