Tried disconnecting adapter even tried plugging it into the rear J1939 plug above the engine no luck. Looked through the manual and maybe I'm missing something but can't find a solution even on forum.

Try the following:

1. Unplug the adapter from your diagnostic port.
2. Unscrew the cap.
3. If your adapter is a gray 6-pin or black 9-pin, it will have a rubber bumper on the top board. Save it. If it's no longer usable, replace it with something similar. This keeps the top board from separating from the bottom board.
4. Plug a powered USB cable into the lower board. Be careful that you don't separate the two boards.
5. If the adapter still does not light up then contact BlueFire Support (support@bluefire-llc.com). Most likely the adapter firmware has been corrupted and needs to be re-flashed. Note, this can occur if you unplug or power down the adapter while the LEDs are solid red (not blinking red).

Hi Mark,
I thought I replied the results of my issue with my adapter but obviously I didn't since I do not see it, wrote it not sure what happened though I was on the road at the time it failed. I returned it back to Bluefire per Mark F. and was told that the Bluetooth chip failed and was sent a new one. Got it yesterday so today I backed out the original adapter and tried to pair my phone with the new adapter and it starts the process. Adapter was blinking blue, looked like it connect as the the dashboard came up cycled then seem to crash. It seems like it shut down or perhaps rebooted the app and a message on my phone cam up and said "A system error occurred. Contact ???? " couldn't read the rest of the message on my phone because when I try it brings me back to the Bluefire App and starts to connect again automatically. I've read the instructions several times, reseated the adapter. It sent me a message via email showing the following though I had no visible issues with starting it, shutting it down and later restarting it. Looked a the fault log on the digital dash and it showed nothing.
VIN: 4UZACJFCXJCJY9156
Unit No: NA
Serial No: NA

Fault Code 96-3
Source: Instrument Cluster
SPN: 96
FMI: 3
Lamp: Malfunction
Occurrence: 1
Desc: Fuel Level 1. Voltage Above Normal, Or Shorted To High Source.

Thanks Dana

Mark,
To my knowledge I sent the event log to Bluefire Support. Please let me know if you get anything.

There is a bug in the current version that will cause a system error if you have a Simple dash defined. I would recommend that you turn off the Simple dash for now until the new release is published next week. The next release also improves the adapter connection.

Yes I did have "Show Simple Dash" checked off in the customized settings. Is this what you refer to? How will I get the updated Release? Thxs

The updated release will automatically be updated on your device if you have this turned on, otherwise you'll get a notice when you start the App.
