I have created a custom dash which is 80% functional. I have inclded Oil Temp & Exhaust Temp however they do not function. The display reads NA for both gauges. Boost psi, outside temp, trans temp, cruise set all work as expected.

I have a 2015 Freightliner Chassis with Cummins ISL 8.9 engine. Bluefire Adapter is the Windows/Android/ios with LE Bluetooth.

Trying to figure out why some buss data/gauges are working fine but Oil Temp & Exhaust Temp are not.

Anyone have experience with the Oil Tem & Exhaust Temp working?

Would appreciate any thoughts / experience to get the gauges functional.

Was thanked: 4 time(s) in 4 post(s)
NA means that the ECM is not transmitting the data. I'll check with my trucker contacts to see if they've seen similar behavior.

Thanks for the quick response. I look forward to hearing back. I ask some folks on the IRV2 forum where we are discussing BlueFire but none of them had used those two specific gauges. If you are interested to in that dialog you could go to the IRV2 web page then go to owners forums, then Newmar owners. Look for the thread on an alternate to VMSPEC

On my 2007 Freightliner Motorhome Chassis / Cummins Engine. There is no Oil Temp or Exhaust Temp sensor installed.

I spoke with Cummins and te tech said both oil temp and exhaust temp are used by the ECM. So I believe the sensors are there but not sure how to tell if the data is avilable but just not being detected / decoded.

Anyone know if there is a way to use the Bluefire to "sniff" the raw data & find various data elements?
