The dash on my 2008 Newmar motorhome is showing an ABS Fault. The dash diagnostic is showing a mid 136 brakes sid 6 fmi 6 fault code. I tried to clear the code with the BlueFire app. The app connects to the adapter but does not show any fault codes. Is that normal?

The MID 136 is a J1708 fault. Do you have J1708 turned on in the App's Settings page? If so, try turning on Monitor Faults and see that brings it in.

I tried both and still no codes in the app.

Does the engine have to be running? I tried with the key off and the key on, but I did not start the engine.

Thanks

No, just the key on and the adapter LEDs solid blue. It is possible that the ECM is just not sending the codes or that the adapter is unable to retrieve them (see the Getting Started document's J1708 section).
