I’ve been using BlueFire for Motorhomes for a while now with no major issues. However, as we prepared to leave on a trip this morning, I couldn’t get the app to connect to the adapter. I verified I had the latest app and also reset my iPad just to make sure it was “fresh”. Still no joy. So, I crawled under the dash to check the adapter and discovered none of the lights were on. I disconnected and reconnected it but still no joy when I turned the key on. I also connected it to the rear J1939 with the same result. Did my adapter suddenly die?

Have you reviewed the Getting Started document’s Battery and Power sections? Hopefully, the adapter has just had its memory corrupted and not been nuked.

You can send the adapter in for repair and we’ll take a look.

Mark,

Yes, I have reviewed those sections. The adapter has worked, for the most part, fine for several months so not sure why all of a sudden it appears dead. No LED lights at all and I can't connect to it.

I ended up purchasing another adapter so I have it for a trip this weekend. I'll send the original one back as soon as I can.

I am also having an issue with my adapter. When leaving for my last trip I saw the update pop up for the new App and a firmware update for the Adapter. Since I was getting ready to pull out of the driveway when I saw this I dismissed it and everything came up fine. The BlueFire worked flawlessly from Ohio to TN. On departure day to head back home, however, no joy. Couldn't get anything to connect, tried disconnect/connect, tried closing app and cycling tablet, still no joy. I looked under the dash and do not recall seeing any LED's lit on the adapter.

Based on reading the book I will try to perform a factory reset later today on the adapter. I did download the latest BlueFire App, but when I try to locate the firmware update I get the 404 splash, so not sure how to do that.

One thing at a time, will see if a reset wakes the adapter up for me and will let you know if it does work.

The firmware update link does work. Might try clearing your cache for the store pages.

I actually just got back from the storage location. I was prepared to do the three pull and plugs to reset the adapter, but I pulled it and when I put it back on it went from red to flashing blue, so I turned my tablet on and it synced up. This was also on the newer app.

Is the firmware link something that will be fixed in the near future?

Firmware link is good so it has to be your cache. Here's the link but it's only good for this version. Next version will update the number after the ? - https://bluefire-llc.com...0Firmware%20Update.zip?4
