I just received my bluefire adapter and six pin to 9 pin cable today and went straight to my bluebird bus to connect the reader and see just how many miles and hours are really on my bus. The reader flashes blue and the app never connects to the reader, I have tried both the RV app and the truck app and both do the same thing.

I spent about 45 minutes going through the troubleshooting guide in the app help section and even reset the reader by going through the red flashes unplug, re-plug, unplug ect. to no avail. I shut off my bluetooth connected watch and earpiece and still no joy. I tried this with my Samsung S9+ and am going to take an android tablet and try that next but I am thinking there is no communication between the two devices.

Any ideas?

The App defaults to J1939 (9-pin). With your 6-pin RV, you need to change the App setting to J1708. If you've already done this then let me know and send me the App's event log (Settings/Send the Event Log).

I tried the J1708 setting already, event log sent.

Can you resend the event log after you've tried to connect to the adapter?
